MECF (MCCIA ELECTRONIC CLUSTER FOUNDATION)
Mahratha Chamber of Commerce, Industries and Agriculture (MCCIA), has initiated a Special Purpose Vehicle with objective of promoting the development of EMC by setting up a Common Facility Centre (CFC) in Pune. This CFC will help the electronics industries in Pune and surrounding areas in terms of latest technology, cost competitiveness, faster turnaround time etc. enabling Pune region to become a default destination for electronics design led manufacturing. This will help in developing an entrepreneurial ecosystem, drive innovation and catalyse the economic growth by increasing employment opportunities and tax revenues.
MECF Common Facility Centre (CFC) is the India’s biggest electronic cluster project located at Bhosari, Pune. The project is approved by the central government.
The project is part of the central government’s electronic manufacturing clusters scheme of 2012 to enable India become a global player in electronics and also to support creation of world-class infrastructure in electronics system and design manufacturing
Common Facility Centre (CFC) STATUS
Department of Electronics and IT (DeitY), Govt of India has approved the project and provided funding support with Rs 50 crores central aid under the EMC Scheme of DeitY, GoI, as a Brownfield cluster.
